A Letter from Nantwich update

May 2008

New application

A PLANNING application has been received by Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council requesting permission to demolish the former JobCentre (which has been fenced off since the original letter) and to build 14 apartments. I thought a three-storey block containing nine two-bedroom flats - as proposed in August 2005 - was a lot for the site. And save the horse chestnut tree . . .

l I also see that The Cheshire Cheese public house in Crewe Road features in planning applications. There is an application to change the pub and manager's flat into "one dwelling and the erection of nine apartments with parking".
