Group spreads its litter net wider

August 2013                                                                                                                                               A NANTWICH LITTER GROUP PAGE

LITTER Group volunteers have once again been active around the town. Starting from the Civic Hall on August 23, volunteers covered a wide area off Beam Street from Manor Road to Volunteer Fields and routes in between.

A large quantity of leaves and rubbish was also cleared from the path next to the Boot and Shoe public house leading to Morrison's supermarket

A total of 30 bags were filled and then collected for disposal by Streetscape, Cheshire East Council's street cleansing department.

Afterwards, the volunteers were invited for a complimentary refreshing tea and an interesting talk by the Wellness Centre in Hospital Street.
